Course Description
The Shire London is the only golf course in the UK designed by the legendary five-time major Winner, Steve Ballesteros and has been rated London's best golf experience. The Shire London's luscious green fairways and carefully designed greens makes for a really beautiful course. The Shire London offers a true test of golf as no two consecutive holes are the same par. Watch out for the water hazards and appreciate the beauty of the 10,000 trees which line the fairways. The Shire London also offers a driving range, practice area and gym. You can enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat in the bar and restaurant after your game. The Shire is based a few miles outside of north London, not far from the famous Wembley Stadium, making it easily accessible for everyone.

2020-08-11 Overall Rating 38/50 The Masters Course at the Shire is the only course in the UK to be designed by Seve Ballesteros. No consecutive two holes are the same and has 6x Par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. These include links style holes, parkland holes and dramatic water holes. This makes for an interesting round and I always enjoy playing here. Sometimes it can get very busy especially at weekends and 5hr rounds are not unheard of. Luckily we played on Sunday evening and managed to get round in just over 3hrs as a 2 ball. There are multiple tees at the Shire so depending on ability it will be good test for golfers of all abilities. Some of the Green tee boxes look seriously long. It is 7028 yards Par 72. The condition of the course was brilliant, it appears that the Shire are putting in an effort improve the condition of course and using media and holding well publicised events to promote the course and it seems to be working. The greens were pure and fairways pretty lush given the drought we have been going through. Practice facilities include a multi bay driving range and putting green, there is also a small 9 hole par 3 course perfect for practice. £60-75 visitor fees is slightly steep for this course but it doesn’t put people off with all tee times taken all day every day at the moment.
