Course Description
West Herts is a beautiful 18 hole country course surrounded by woodland. Set in peaceful surroundings with tree-lined fairways and well-bunkered greens, it has always been a golfers course. The relatively level terrain makes for easy walking and the course offers a challenge to all standards of golfer.

2020-07-20 Overall Rating 37/50 I regularly play West Herts during twilight on a nice summers evening, it’s my local course. A par 72 a mature parkland course that is one of the oldest in Hertfordshire established in 1890. It is a vibrant, sociable, welcoming club with a great course. There are plenty of practice facilities a large putting green outside the front terrace, chipping area and warm up nets. Plus a slight walk to a large driving range. There are multiple pros that use West Herts as a base for their lessons with head pro David Griffiths residing @westhertsproshop. The course is in great condition, greens running very quick and true receptive to a well struck shot. They have improved in recent weeks whereby it was difficult to stop the ball on the firm greens. The course is open to visitor green fees for £45 midweek and £55 at weekends. It is always busy so book up early. One of my favourite courses, always good fun. Just don’t go left of the green on 8 or you will end up like my friend. (see video on Instagram). Pictures associated with this review can be found on Instagram here. |
